Relearning Heat: Forcing Myself Back Into Unfinished

Update on my romance/smut novel titled "Unfinished"

It’s one thing to plan a shift in focus. It’s another to sit down, crack your knuckles, and open the file.

This week, I forced myself back into Unfinished, my romance/smut novel that’s been waiting for me with open arms and sharp edges. Getting back into this story is harder than I expected, not because I’ve lost interest, but because this one asks a different kind of honesty.

It’s emotional. Intimate. A little dangerous, and after months of writing about corporate dysfunction in RealPM, stepping back into raw chemistry, old wounds, and barely-contained tension is like switching from steel to fire.

Here’s the truth: I want this book done. I want to get through the vulnerability, the heat, the unresolved emotional threads, and come out on the other side with something worth setting on fire.

My target is still end of this year. Realistically, next summer, but progress has started again, and that’s what matters.

More soon.
